Can you explain how subscribing to AlabamaLegals.com works?
The database of AlabamaLegals.com will search notices from our participating newspaper members to find the ones you are looking for. For a monthly fee, it e-mails the notices to you on the day after they appear in the newspaper.

Can I get help setting up my search?
Each subscriber is allowed up to 10 different searches (including County, Newspaper, and Keyword or exact phrase). Results of your search(es) will be e-mailed every day for the previous day's matches.You must choose a county, but the newspaper is optional. Searches cannot be made for all counties or all newspapers through the subscription service. Keywords are also required. If you have other questions or a problem, you may contact the Web administrator.

Example: A contractor from Arab, Ala. wants to find construction bids that might be offered in three Alabama counties. He/she also wants to monitor when the city is going to increase property taxes. In order to avoid having to manually search alabamalegals.com when he/she has the time and can sort through each result one by one, he/she can sign up for a subscription and enter 4 different searches:

And he/she could always go back and modify the searches if they aren't getting the results they're looking for, or add more searches (up to 10) any time during the subscription period.

When are my results sent to me?
The database will be scanned overnight for postings from the previous day, and all your results will be sent to you in one comprehensive e-mail by 8 a.m. (Central Time) the next morning. Results will be grouped by search parameters.  If there are no matches to your search for the previous day, you will not receive an e-mail.

How long does a subscription last?
Your subscription will automatically renew each month until you unsubscribe.

How much does a subscription cost?
$35 per month

How do I pay for my subscription?
Click on the "Subscribe" button above, and it will guide you through the steps of setting up your profile and subscription using PayPal, a safe and easy payment method. You may then set up a new PayPal account, use an existing PayPal account, or pay with a credit card.

Can I change my searches in the middle of my subscription?
Yes. You may modify your profile of searches at any time during your subscription period by logging in with your e-mail address and password and click “edit” just beneath the search you wish to alter, or you may add another search if you haven’t used all 10.

Will my results yield every public notice that matches my criteria?
AlabamaLegals.com is a combined effort by the newspapers of Alabama and the Alabama Press Association. We have to rely on the individual newspapers to post their own notices on or by their start date in order for them to be included in search results. Even though we are working towards that goal with approximately 90% of our members on-board, not every newspaper participates, and errors could result in some notices not being posted in time to be sent out, or some may not be posted at all. What if I don’t want to pay to search for legal notices?
AlabamaLegals.com main site will not change. Users may continue to input individual or statewide searches on AlabamaLegals.com at no charge. This subscription service is for frequent users who prefer to have the results e-mailed to them each day as a convenience.

AlabamaLegals.com is a partnership between the Alabama Press Association and participating member newspapers to provide online access to public notice advertisements in Alabama.
